The University Press of Virginia edition of The Letters of Matthew Arnold, edited by Cecil Y. From Shoot To Shore covers my experiences in the countryside with working dogs and ferrets. Beating and picking up with spaniels, nights on the lamp with lurcher's and days spent bolting rabbits with ferrets to the dogs are all documented. The development of my rat hunting pack is also covered as well as a few tips regarding injuries in the field. Fishing has also been a large part of my life and despite still trying to catch a big one every now and then my main aim is to pass on the skills to my children and give them the experiences that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
