Beskrivelse af Greyfriars Bobby (1912)
Greyfriars Bobby is a heartwarming tale based on a true story that takes place in Edinburgh, Scotland in the 19th century. The story follows a loyal Skye Terrier named Bobby who becomes the faithful companion of his owner, a night watchman named John Gray. When John passes away, Bobby refuses to leave his grave and becomes a fixture in the Greyfriars Kirkyard cemetery. Despite attempts from the authorities to remove him, Bobby remains steadfast and is eventually taken in by the kind-hearted people of Edinburgh who care for him and make sure he is fed and sheltered. The book is a touching tribute to the bond between humans and animals and the power of loyalty and devotion. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
