Ryker's Lullaby

I was seventeen up on stage, singing to the crowd. She walked in eyes locked on mine and I was hers.
I fell in love, the kind of love that soothes the soul, lifts you up, and makes you a better person. Everything I worked for, all I did was for her. For our future. It was my honor to give my girl everything we both dreamed of. One moment I'm being handed a dream, the next I was in the middle of my own personal nightmare. Four years later, my dad needs me so home I go.
I never expected to find out it was all a lie. A falsification to give me what she thought I wanted. She never understood she was all I ever needed. My lullaby use to soothe her worries, give her a sense of safety and security. Now I just have to hope it will still bring her that comfort.
