Bag om Major George Washington's Journal To The River Ohio

Major George Washington's Journal to the River Ohio is a historical book written by George Washington, the first President of the United States. The book is a journal that he kept during his journey to the Ohio River Valley in 1753. The purpose of his journey was to deliver a message from the Governor of Virginia to the French, who were building forts in the Ohio River Valley. The book provides an account of Washington's travels through the wilderness, his encounters with Native American tribes, and his negotiations with the French. It also includes detailed descriptions of the natural environment and the challenges that Washington faced during his journey. The journal is an important historical document that provides insight into the early years of George Washington's life and his role in the French and Indian War. It also sheds light on the political and military tensions between the British and French empires in North America during the 18th century. Overall, Major George Washington's Journal to the River Ohio is a valuable resource for historians, students, and anyone interested in early American history. It provides a first-hand account of one of the most important events in the life of George Washington and the history of the United States.I gave them back a String of Wampum that I met with at Frazier's, which they had sent with a Speech to his Honour the Governour, to inform him, that three Nations of French Indians, viz. Chippeways, Ottoways, and Orundacks, had taken up the Hatchet against the English, and desired them to repeat it over again, which they postponed doing till they met in full Council with the Shannoahs and Delaware Chiefs. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
