Beskrivelse af Life's Magical Moments
"I have never seen a man without sorrows, yet the world always changes."
- Romanos Melodos, famous Greek hymnographer
A true story of love and loss.
After the death of her dearly beloved husband, George, Francesca loses all sense of time and direction. Her life comes to a standstill and her days are filled with despair and loneliness. The love that was supposed to last her a lifetime departs too early, and leaves her feeling as if all doors have closed and life will never have the same joy and lightness of being ever again. She shuts herself in the villa she had built with her husband in Corfu, almost as if she were a statue behind a closed door. Over the course of a few years and some wonderful moments with her petite fée, Marlène, Francesca learns to live again.
After George's death, Marlène promises to visit Francesca in Corfu every year for a week. The time that they spend together during these annual visits leave them feeling enriched and reinvigorated. The conversations they share help Francesca learn to find herself again, and to remember that love never leaves. It surrounds us always, helping us take one step after the next until we find our centre again.
This is a true story of love and loss. This is Francesca's journey from despair to hope, and from lost faith to insightful living.
