Se dedica profesionalmente a la escritura tanto como redactor periodístico como creador de ficción. Ha impartido talleres de narrativa en Chile, España, Italia, Andorra y Cuba y desde 1994 es miembro de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba.
