Die Pandemie COVID-19 (Coronavirus-Krankheit 2019) hat Millionen von Todesopfern gefordert. Der Erreger SARS-CoV-2 löst eine schwere Entzündungsreaktion aus, die durch eine Überempfindlichkeit des Immunsystems verursacht wird, wodurch die Immunität des Einzelnen geschwächt wird und er anfällig für Co-Infektionen wird. In diesem Sinne zielt dieser Artikel darauf ab, einen Literaturüberblick über die Fallberichte von Patienten zu geben, die von COVID-19 in Verbindung mit einer invasiven Infektion mit Candida spp. betroffen sind.

The pandemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) was responsible for recording millions of deaths, having as etiologic agent SARS-CoV-2 that induces a severe inflammatory response caused by hyperresponsiveness of the immune system depressing the immunity of the individual, leaving him susceptible to co-infections. Thus, opportunistic fungi such as Candida spp. In this sense, this paper aims to perform a literature review about case reports of patients affected by COVID-19 associated with invasive infection of Candida spp.

A pandemia da COVID-19 (doença do coronavírus 2019) foi responsável pelo registro de milhões de mortes, tendo como agente etiológico SARS-CoV-2 que induz uma resposta inflamatória grave causada pela hiperresponsividade do sistema imune deprimindo a imunidade do indivíduo, o deixando suscetível a coinfecções. Dessa forma, fungos oportunistas como a Candida spp. Nesse sentido, este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma revisão bibliográfica acerca dos relatos de casos de pacientes acometidos pela COVID-19 associado a infecção invasiva de Candida spp.
