Fairly Strange

It's hard to know who to trust when you can't tell if your enemies come from this world or the next. Fifteen-year-old Cat Turner is the new kid in town, and she's having a heck of a time just trying to fit in. Determined to make a fresh start, Cat and her mom move to Fairly, Alabama, a moss-dripping, magnolia-scented bay town where her mother will manage a grand, old, and decidedly haunted hotel. Cat's laying low and trying not to draw attention but the fact that one particular spirit is seeking her help from the other side doesn't make it easy. She's about to discover a history as tangled as a honeysuckle vine and a family with a darker past than her own. Her search for the truth about a slave named Culver Washington will take her down a dangerous path, especially when some of Fairly's most prominent citizens don't appreciate an outsider digging up some long-buried bones. Will she be able to discover the truth before she and her mother are run out of town?
