Beskrivelse af Dandy Dick
""Dandy Dick: A Play In Three Acts"" is a comedic play written by Arthur Wing Pinero and first published in 1893. The story follows the Reverend Augustin Jedd, a well-respected cleric who is known for his strict adherence to the rules of his church. However, his world is turned upside down when his sister, Georgiana, and her husband, Sir Tristram Mardon, visit him and bring with them their horse, Dandy Dick. The horse is a notorious gambler and has been causing trouble wherever he goes. When Dandy Dick is accused of cheating in a race, the Reverend Jedd must decide whether to protect his family's honor or uphold the principles of his faith. The play is filled with witty dialogue, humorous situations, and a cast of colorful characters, making it a classic example of Victorian-era farce. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
