Atalanta in Calydon is a tragedy written by Algernon Charles Swinburne. The play is based on the ancient Greek myth of Atalanta, a virgin huntress who is forced to marry by her father. The story is set in the city of Calydon, where the king, Oeneus, neglects to honor the goddess Artemis during a harvest festival.
