This story is inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's haunting poem, A Dream Within A Dream. My hero, William Croft, appeared as a character in an earlier story of mine called Pearls of Fire.William Croft, Baron Whitpool, has recurring dreams of a young woman with long, black hair and smoke-gray eyes running amid the ruins of Tintagel Castle on the Cornwall coast. He calls her Aislin in his dreams, but who is she?
