Subscriber stations are the devices that provide connectivity to WiMAX network. It is a long-range system as it covers many kilometers. It uses a QoS mechanism that is based on connections between user device and the base station. WiMAX provides portable mobile broadband connectivity through various devices. It acts a wireless alternative to digital subscriber line and cable. It makes triple-play service offerings possible. Network of WiMAX can be accessed through USB when connected to dongle. WiMAX is an upcoming field of science that has undergone rapid development over the past few decades.
