When We Are: A Logical Assessment of Bible Prophecy, the End Times, and the Second Coming of Christ

Bag om When We Are: A Logical Assessment of Bible Prophecy, the End Times, and the Second Coming of Christ

"... for I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure" (Isaiah 46:9-10) Take a journey through time. Beginning around 600 BC in Babylon, our tour will span a little over twenty-six centuries, in which we will view the rise and fall of empires from two different perspectives. We will gaze into the distant future through the prophetic lenses of the book of Daniel, the words of Jesus in Matthew 24, and the letters of Paul. And we will also look backward in time through our 20/20 lens of hindsight to view the same events transform from imagery to reality; from beasts to kingdoms; from the pages of foresight to the pages of our own history books; from Daniel's time to our time now. And before this journey is over, you will know When We Are. This book is the result of roughly 40 years of study and research. Unlike popular works on Bible prophecy which are driven by the hype of current events for profit and increased sales, this book is completely biblically driven. And as certainly as the Bible is true, here you will see the Scriptures come to life. Don't expect to find the same conflicting theories for difficult passages that are offered in the popular Bible commentaries and study Bibles. Here you will find them exposed and corrected - from the 4 beasts of Daniel 7 to the "Restrainer" of 2nd Thessalonians 2 - and much in between. You will learn the history of how these errors made their way into the notes of study Bibles and Bible commentaries, as well as into the teachings of the most popular Bible teachers of our times. And yes, this rabbit hole runs deep. But even more surprising is how real the Bible becomes as prophecy rises from the pages of Scripture in a way that you likely never saw before; to find fulfillment in our own history books, right up to the 21st century - our time now.>Daniel 7:24 - The Horns of the Beast: Conquering Kingdoms Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. The horns are revealed to be kings, but we are not told anything else about them. Many conservative scholars link these ten kings of Daniel to the ten kings of Revelation 17:12 (also represented by 10 horns), but there are noteworthy differences. The beast of Revelation has seven heads. This one does not. The ten kings of Revelation do not have another king rising up after them to subdue three kings, as we have here in Daniel. Revelation's kings will reign together at the very end and will make war with the Lamb, only to meet their demise (Revelation 17:12-14). But Daniel's fourth beast, in its devouring, treading down, and dividing the whole earth presents a history that is mostly behind us (though prophetic at the time of writing). This is a different beast, and its horns are a part of its message; possibly indicating how and by whom the world would be devoured, trodden down, and broken in pieces. >[i] The Denmark-Norway union ran from 1524-1814.>
