This the final book in the Trail of Blood on Ice Trilogy Tip and his wife, Millie, are faced with the trials of preparing for the long trip West. Bustah and Willimina help in their preparations, though their hearts aren't in it, as they also are trying to help family of settlers that live nearby. On the plains hide hunters and Indians face the hardship and hazards of their day to day life made all the more difficult by a certain US Army General named Custer.
