Beskrivelse af Turkey Killer
Jack Rumsey and his wife, Bonnie, moved from their small farm in Davie County to the mountains of North Carolina. They lived peacefully in those old mountains and almost forgot the tragedies that happened to Jack''s friends. As the time passed, Brian, Mike, and Yeoman''s murder had become a faint memory. Until the day that Yeoman''s grandson, Cannon, tracked Jack down and confronted him about the mystery of his grandfather''s death. Jack felt that he needed to tell Cannon about memories and stories that he had made with Yeoman and their hunting friends. The stories begun at Jack''s shed where the friends overindulged in food and drink while swapping lies and planned hunting trips to Texas, and finally Virginia.
Jack and his friends flew to Texas for a greatly anticipated deer hunt in the desert. Once in Texas, they found scorching heat, a lack of big game, and a host Blaine Thomas, incapacitated by alcoholism and nightmares of his tours in Vietnam.
After a disastrous hunt in Texas, Blaine made arrangements for Jack, Brian, Mike, and Yeoman to hunt turkeys in the mountains of Virginia. It is exactly the kind of hunt and opportunity that excites them-beautiful country, challenging game, and a rustic hunting lodge. However, their host had strict rules and an angry and demanding son who seemed determined to take all the fun out of the hunt.
On the first day of the hunt, Jack, Mike and Yeoman thought that Brian killed his turkey and returned to the lodge. On the second day of the hunt, a shot is heard early in the morning. Late that evening when Mike did not return to base camp, Yeoman and Jack figured Mike had bagged a turkey and returned to the main lodge. The third day of the hunt, Jack decided to break the rules and hunt on the mountain where Brian killed his turkey.
Jack shot a turkey and when he went to retrieve his bird, he discovered a pool of dried blood, from what he thought was, a killed deer. He followed the blood trail and found the body of his murdered friend Brian. Scared, Jack frantically tried to find Yeoman, but instead found Mike''s lifeless and bloody body. Jack raced back to the main lodge, in a panic, to find Yeoman and get help. Once at the lodge, Jack discovered the host had been killed and laid in a pool of blood. In horror, Jack watched as his friend Yeoman was stabbed and murdered.
Blaine and his nightmares stepped out of the jungles of Vietnam to hunt and kill one more time in the mountains of Virginia.
"Jack, please don''t go to Virginia," Bonnie begged. "Something awful is going to happen, I just know it."
"I''M AFRAID YOU WON''T BE COMING HOME!"
