Beskrivelse af Troilus And Criseyde
""Troilus and Criseyde"" is a medieval romance poem by Geoffrey Chaucer, written in Middle English in the 14th century. It tells the story of the tragic love affair between Troilus, a Trojan prince, and Criseyde, a widow who is forced to leave Troy and return to the Greeks. The poem is divided into five books, each of which explores the different stages of their relationship, from their initial courtship to their eventual separation. Along the way, the poem explores themes of love, honor, betrayal, and the fickleness of fortune. Chaucer's masterful use of language and his skillful portrayal of his characters have made ""Troilus and Criseyde"" one of the most celebrated works of medieval literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
