Beskrivelse af Tottel's Miscellany
Tottels Miscellany: Songes And Sonettes is a book of poetry compiled by Richard Tottel in 1557 during the reign of Queen Mary I. This particular edition, published in 1903, features an introduction by Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey, who was a prominent poet during the Tudor period. The book contains a collection of 271 poems written by various poets, including Surrey himself, Sir Thomas Wyatt, and Nicholas Grimald. The poems cover a wide range of topics, from love and romance to politics and morality. The book is considered an important work in the history of English literature as it was one of the first printed collections of English poetry and helped to establish the sonnet form in English poetry. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
