Beskrivelse af To End All Wars
Faith in the midst of suffering. Hope in the face of death. Love in the presence of enemies.
An historical WWII drama movie script about allied P.O.W.s in a Japanese prison camp.
Based on a true story of Allied prisoners of war who endure harsh treatment at the hands of their Japanese captors during World War II while being forced to build a railroad through the Burmese/Thailand jungle.
When British soldier Ernest Gordon is captured by the imperial Japanese and placed in a prison camp in Burma, he soon learns that the prisoners have something far worse than lack of food; they have lack of hope.
When he discovers some books by Plato and Shakespeare as well as a Bible, he starts a “jungle university” to help the men regain their dignity in the face of barbaric treatment by their Japanese captors.
But those captors don’t like the idea of prisoners with hope.
This is the amazing true POW story The Bridge on the River Kwai didn’t show you.
Read the script. Imagine the movie
