Beskrivelse af Three Wise Fools
""Three Wise Fools"" is a comedic play in three acts written by Austin Strong and first published in 1919. The play revolves around the story of three elderly men who are brought together by the death of their mutual friend, John. John has left behind a large inheritance, but his will stipulates that the money can only be inherited by his son, who he has never met. The three men, who are all John's former business partners, must find John's son within a year, or the money will go to charity. The three men embark on a journey to find John's son, and along the way, they encounter various obstacles and challenges. They eventually find the son, who turns out to be a young woman named Sheila. However, Sheila is not interested in inheriting the money and wants to give it all to charity. The three men must convince her to change her mind and take the inheritance.Throughout the play, there are many comedic moments as the three men navigate their way through the challenges of finding John's son. The play also explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the importance of family. ""Three Wise Fools"" is a lighthearted and entertaining play that has been performed numerous times since its initial publication. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
