A newly married Marine Lieutenant is sent into combat at the height of the Vietnam War. From December 1966 until January 1968 he comes of age while experiencing the tragedy of war, personal losses, as well as leadership challenges. Thirteen Months takes the reader on a month-by-month journey through the struggles, disappointments, longings and emotions of a young warrior. This true story chronicles a pivotal time in U.S. History, while providing an extremely personal insight into the mind and heart of the main character, the Lieutenant.
