The Wooing of the Father

Perhaps the most misunderstood Person among the body of Christ is the Holy Spirit and the role He plays in the life of the Believer. On the night before Jesus' crucifixion, He made one of the most astounding statements of His whole ministry. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." John 16:7 Jesus was saying it was more beneficial for us to have the ministry of the Holy Spirit than it was to have Jesus present with us in His physical body! It is the Holy Spirit of God who brings conviction to the unbeliever and causes him to see the truth of the gospel in a clear light. It is the Holy Spirit who "woos" the sinner to come. He is like a giant magnet drawing you to Christ. He is the One who awakens in man the love of His heavenly Father toward him. This book is about the love of our heavenly Father for all mankind and His desire to fellowship with him. It is about the Holy Spirit's role in salvation and His ministry in the life of the Believer.
