L Frank Baum's timeless classic Dorothy Gale finds herself whisked away from her farm home in Kansas to the amazing land of Oz, where she meets witches, walking tin men, cowardly lions and munchkins as well as the legendary Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The first of L Frank Baum's famous Oz books was a huge hit and remains as popular as ever more than a hundred years after its initial publication. The book has been adapted on numerous occasions for film, radio and stage, most famously in the 1939 musical The Wizard of Oz.
