Beskrivelse af The Thief Of Virtue (1910)
The Thief of Virtue is a novel written by Eden Phillpotts and published in 1910. The story revolves around a young woman named Tilda who lives in a small village in Devon, England. Tilda is engaged to a man named Tom, but she is also pursued by the wealthy and charming Lord Lynborough. When Tilda's father dies, she inherits a large sum of money, which attracts the attention of both Tom and Lord Lynborough. Tilda must navigate her feelings for both men while also dealing with the consequences of her newfound wealth. Along the way, she discovers that there are those who will stop at nothing to get what they want, including stealing her virtue. The novel explores themes of love, greed, and morality, and is a classic example of early 20th century English literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
