Beskrivelse af The Social Worker in the Emergency Room
The author examined the perceptions that doctors and nurses hold of the role of the social worker in the emergency room and compares them with social workers' self-perceptions of what they do. In addition, the author examined the relationship between two types of hospitals: Municipal Vs. Voluntary. The study is descriptive, and consisted of 117 medical emergency department social workers, doctors, and nurses employed in 20 New York City Metropolitan area hospitals.
