The Phantom of the Opera is a novel written by Gaston Leroux, first published in 1910. The story is set in the Paris Opera House and revolves around a mysterious and disfigured phantom who haunts the building. The phantom, who lives in the underground passages of the opera house, becomes obsessed with a young soprano named Christine Daa����� and begins to manipulate her career and personal life. The novel explores themes of love, jealousy, and the power of music. The story is told through the eyes of a reporter named Raoul who becomes involved in the mystery surrounding the phantom and Christine. The novel has been adapted into numerous stage productions, films, and television series and has become a classic of Gothic literature.1911.
