‘The Opal Dragon’ Starts in the Philippines. Ali the Dragon is a small time thief who stabs and robs an old jeweler of his bag and money. Ali’s mother is a prostitute. The police are chasing him. He goes to his aunt in the mountains where he live an almost normal life. He has met a nice girl . Rebels attack their village and kill Alis girlfrien and aunt.. He finds the young rebel butchering kind Sasha's goat, Sasha is inside the house dying. Ali takes a knife and stabs him. He returns home. He and his mother travel to manilla, where Ali graduates into the drug trade until one of the Mafia families tries to catch him, and teach him to swim off the wharf with chains tied to his legs . Ali kills the head of the drug family in a very cunning way. The man is burned to death in his car. This starts a Mafia family war. Ali escapes with his mother and finds his way to Australia on an old ship. Ali sets up in Coober Pedy buying opal from the night shifters who go out at night and steal the opal from miners as they sleep. The Opal Eggs Of Fire is incorporated into this book on the insistence of an Adelaide movie producer. He said there was a good movie potential for this book.
