Beskrivelse af The Noise Upstairs
Kassia is having a hard time going to sleep at night. The problem is getting worse, as she keeps hearing noises from the apartment upstairs and begins to imagine all sorts of scary monsters coming for her.
The Noise Upstairs is more common than we think, especially as it concerns young children.
Is it really scary noises that keep children from falling asleep? Author Ada N. Letelier believes that a child's request to "read it again, mommy or daddy" is a child's plea for their parents to stay with them a bit longer, or at least until they fall asleep.
About The Author: Ada N. Letelier is a retired early childhood teacher and administrator. She started her career at the Goddard-Riverside Head Start Center, teaching three- and four-year-olds, and worked her way up to becoming first an assistant principal and later principal at two public schools in New York City. As in her last book, Where Are My Teeth?/¿Dónde están Mis Dientes?, she tries to help parents deal with a common problem, bedtime apprehension, and to let them know they are not alone.
Antonia Acuña is a Chilean artist who collaborated with the author on her previous four books. She is skillful in creating delightfully entertaining drawings that bring the author¿s words to life.
