Beskrivelse af The Mother Of The Man (1908)
The Mother of the Man is a novel written by British author Eden Phillpotts and published in 1908. The story revolves around a mother, Mrs. Tregaskis, and her relationship with her son, Jack. Mrs. Tregaskis is a strong-willed and independent woman who has devoted her life to her son. Jack, on the other hand, is a restless and impulsive young man who is struggling to find his place in the world. As the story progresses, we see the tension between mother and son grow as Jack becomes increasingly rebellious and Mrs. Tregaskis tries to control him. Despite their differences, however, the love between them remains strong. The novel is set in the rural countryside of Devon, England, and is full of vivid descriptions of the landscape and the people who inhabit it. It explores themes of family, love, and the struggle for independence, and is a poignant and moving portrait of a mother's love for her son. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
