The Morphine Diaries - the true story of a father's morphine fuelled experience following a twelve-hour life-saving operation. Documented by both his daughter, Laura-Louise, and her father himself. This is their testimony looking back from the light at the end of the tunnel. David only just made it through the emergency open heart surgery, which saw him flat-line and be brought back to life. The two weeks he spent in intensive care recovering just before Christmas 2013, were a roller coaster - with no safety harness. His youngest daughter, Laura-Louise, began anonymously blogging about the sometimes hilarious, often hellish - out of this world - experiences her father went through. Heavy doses of morphine were required to keep the pain at bay and this affected David's mind in an unprecedented way. A year later, one winter's night, David asked to read his daughter's words. Those hours were spent laughing and crying about the turbulent black hole the family had been in just a year before... "I remember it vividly," said David... "But I had no idea what was really going on..." David started to document his version of these trips and the deeper, darker parallel universe he was living in during this time.
