The Moon's Soul Shimmering on the Water

These lyric poems are influenced by the poetic styles and themes of ancient China. These are poems of startling imagery and voices, poems of the seasons, of sailing on the great river, wandering through beautiful gardens, and confronting the horrors of war. These poems also explore the wonders of nature and the importance of friendship as seen in an imaginary poetic conversation between the great Tang Dynasty poets Li Bai and Du Fu.
