Jacob is a resident of the Tharsis Settlement on the planet Mars, a world that has long since been colonized and reshaped by countless wars between the corporations that own the planet and the governments of the Earth.
The dust seems to have finally settled, Mars is the only planet left standing, but this still doesn't feel like peace.
What's more, Mars is dying. The planet has been polluted and warped beyond repair by war and now even the domed settlements are starting to fall apart. One day though, an announcement is made by the GrimmTech corporation (the most powerful corporation on Mars) - they have created a portal into another reality, and they need volunteers.
Jacob has never made a decision faster in his life.
