Beskrivelse af The Killer
The Killer is a novel written by Stewart Edward White. The story revolves around a young man named Buck Duane who is on the run after killing a man in self-defense. Buck is pursued by the law and a group of vengeful men who want to bring him to justice, dead or alive. As he tries to evade his pursuers, Buck finds himself in the company of a beautiful woman named Lucy who becomes his ally in his fight for survival. Along the way, Buck must confront his own demons and come to terms with his past. The Killer is a thrilling tale of adventure, romance, and redemption set against the rugged backdrop of the American West.1920. The Killer begins: I want to state right at the start that I am writing this story twenty years after it happened solely because my wife and Senor Buck Johnson insist on it. Myself, I dont think it a good yarn. It hasnt any love story in it; and there isnt any plot. Things just happened, one thing after the other. There ought to be a yarn in it somehow, and I suppose if a fellow wanted to lie a little he could make a tail-twister out of it. Anyway, here goes; and if you dont like it, you know you can quit at any stage of the game.
