The Heavens Fall

John Consequent, the world's only philosophical detective, is back. But this time, instead of chasing serial killers, he's trying his hand at being a lawyer. He's made a deal and now he has to win three cases for a prestigious law firm or he'll be stuck owing two million dollars that he doesn't have. But looming financial ruin is no excuse to avoid doing the right thing, so John takes two murder trials that look all but unwinnable. To complicate matters, people still need John's help with normal cases, like proving their innocence or dealing with a cult leader who just won't leave. With old enemies coming out of the woodwork, and plenty of new ones to be made, can John beat the odds and come out on top?
