Beskrivelse af The Gold Bag the Gold Bag
The Gold Bag is a mystery novel written by Carolyn Wells. The story takes place in New York City and revolves around the murder of a wealthy socialite named Julia Deane. The main character, detective Fleming Stone, is called in to investigate the case. As he delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers that there are many suspects, including Julia's husband, her stepson, and a number of her friends and acquaintances. The murder weapon, a gold mesh bag, becomes a key piece of evidence in the case. Stone must use his wit and intuition to unravel the complex web of relationships and motives that led to Julia's death. Along the way, he encounters a cast of colorful characters, including a famous actress, a wealthy art collector, and a cunning lawyer. The Gold Bag is a classic mystery novel that will keep readers guessing until the very end.I was impressed not so much by her beauty as by her effect of power and ability. I had absolutely no reason, save Parmalee's babblings, to suspect this woman of crime, but I could not rid myself of a conviction that she had every appearance of being capable of it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
