Beskrivelse af The Ghost Camp
The Ghost Camp, also known as The Avengers, is a novel written by Rolf Boldrewood and published in 1902. The story is set in the Australian outback during the 19th century and follows the adventures of a group of men who are seeking revenge against a gang of bushrangers who have terrorized the region. The protagonist, Dick Marston, is a young man who has been wronged by the bushrangers and is determined to bring them to justice. He joins forces with a group of other men, including a police officer and a wealthy landowner, and together they set out to track down the gang and put an end to their criminal activities. The group faces numerous challenges and setbacks along the way, including dangerous terrain, hostile indigenous tribes, and unexpected betrayals. As they get closer to their goal, they begin to uncover secrets and hidden agendas that threaten to derail their mission. The Ghost Camp is a thrilling adventure story that captures the rugged and untamed spirit of the Australian outback. It is also a commentary on the themes of justice, revenge, and redemption, as the characters grapple with the consequences of their actions and the morality of their quest for vengeance. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
