Beskrivelse af The Garden Of Eden (1900)
The Garden of Eden is a novel written by Blanche Willis Howard and published in 1900. The story is set in the fictional town of Santa Ysabel in California and revolves around the lives of two young newlyweds, David and Catherine Bourne. The couple is on their honeymoon and decides to spend it in a remote area of the country, away from civilization. They find a beautiful spot in the wilderness, near a river, and build a small house. They spend their days swimming, fishing, and exploring the surrounding countryside. However, their idyllic life takes a turn for the worse when Catherine becomes interested in another man, Marita. David is devastated by his wife's infidelity and begins to question his own feelings for her. The novel explores themes of love, jealousy, and the search for happiness. The Garden of Eden is a beautifully written and thought-provoking novel that captures the essence of life in early 20th century America. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
