Beskrivelse af The Garden of Allah
Shortly after she has signed a contract, 1940's Hollywood starlet Savannah St. Clair rebuffs a sexual assault by Vincent LeMaster, the owner of Starlight Studios, at The Garden of Allah Hotel on Sunset Boulevard. He tells her in no uncertain terms her career will go nowhere unless she has sex with him. Determined to be a success despite the obstacles in her way, she seeks the advice of Alla Nazimova, the silent screen legend who originally owned the Garden and now lives there in retirement. She also depends on Skylar Coltrain, Starlight's biggest box office draw, and with whom she develops a romantic relationship, to help her negotiate the minefield of stumbling blocks in the way of her success.
She lives at the Garden, which is known as "an Oasis in Hollywood," and where movie stars, movie executives, writers, and artists of all kinds can come together for the endless parties and trysts that go on there. It is also the scene of the final confrontation between LeMaster and her. It is a confrontation that only one of them will survive!
PRAISE FOR THE GARDEN OF ALLAH:
"A riveting view inside 1940's Hollywood, and the role that time period played in what we now recognize as the #MeToo Movement. It's historical fiction that unfortunately is more historical than fiction. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series."--- D. D. Scott, International Bestselling Author
