The Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians

Ephesians' high Christology means that it is impossible to read without making the individual aware of the absolute supremacy of the One who took on flesh for mankind's salvation. Yet it is no simple study and one which requires careful examination of the numerous topics covered by Paul. The purpose of this book is to develop, not only Ephesians' interpretation, but facilitate a better understanding of the factors which have bearing upon everyday Christian living. It is vital to grasp how these factors influence our relationship with what Christ has already made available for his followers and assure them of the perfection which is yet to be fully established at Christ's return. As westerners our worldview tends to limit our understanding of the unseen world so that we often wrestle with such concepts as angels, the Devil, and demons, but Paul makes it very clear that not only are these powers quite real but that at every level Christ is supreme.
