The sun, the bringer of life, has risen and set over our planet since the dawn of time. As the first manned spaceship to Mars successfully departs from earth in Sept 2026 only a small group of people know the real reason for the mission. With the new rocket propulsion system not fully tested, Steve David, a project specialist, confides his fears to Jacob, one of his colleagues. The chain of events which begin to unfold two years later changes the lives of all of those involved and sees a small group of people racing to uncover the truth and to bring to a halt to a seemingly unstoppable catastrophe. Knowledge can be a dangerous thing as space engineers Jacob, Andy and Kevin together with scientific reporter Alice quickly discover as they race to stop the destruction of the earth and indeed of mankind.
