Beskrivelse af The Daffodil Mystery by Edgar Wallace, Fiction, Classics, Mystery & Detective
DEATH OF A POSEUR
He was a poet, was Mr. Thorton Lyne. Oh so elegant and charming! Mr. Lyne owned the estimable shoppe, Lyne's Emporium, and he presided over his dominion and employee's like a dandy king over his subjects.
But who has the nerve to resign, after all he's done for her? Why, the beautiful Odette Rider, whom he saved from destitution. The ingrate. And this other vile employee . . . this Mr. Milburgh. There was something fishy about him.
So Lyne summoned detective Jack Tarling and his trusty Chinese associate Ling Chu to investigate Mr. Milburgh . . .
Later, Mr. Thorton Lyne wound up quite dead in Odette's flat, topped by a bunch of daffodils!
Jack Tarling must find the killer, before more daffodils are planted!
