The Christmas Groom's Innocence

Life in Shallow Gorge, Colorado, isn't easy in the best of times - and when Mary Ferguson answers an advert for a Mail Order Bride in the dead of winter, she finds things to be even more complicated than expected. Far from home and surrounded by strangers, she is relieved to find that George McDonald, the farmer in search of a wife, is a kindly, honorable man. But shortly after they meet, her initial impression is put to the test when he is taken in by the sheriff for questioning. George is under suspicion for murder, and the evidence is mounting against him. Worse still, someone out there seems to be sabotaging him, putting both George and Mary in danger. With Christmas upon them, and in spite of her confusion and uncertainty, she finds herself wanting to spend the holiday with her new husband - if only she can keep him out of jail.
