The Beleaguered Prophet

Aleta faced the toughest choices of her life. In the follow up of The Bewildered Prophet, a young law student, newly married and six months pregnant with her first child, must make a decision between her future family and her future profession. A candidate for the House, Eugene Powell, was willing to go to any measure to stop her from becoming an attorney. She was the epitome of all he hated and a political threat as well. Aleta was used to facing such enemies, but this time a new enemy surfaced. Someone close to her had betrayed her, and now she had to battle a new enemy who was lurking in the shadows.
