Beskrivelse af The Anti-Inflammatory Diet Cookbook
Are you tired of taking supplements that don't really work?
Have you heard of the incredible health benefits of Elderberry?
Boost your Immune System to Overcome Viruses, Diseases and Germs!
An anti-inflammatory diet can be complicated to maintain during these times. The Anti-Inflammatory Diet Cookbook: The Series is here to make it easy and accessible, with simple guides, planning recipes and some brief medical background that helps you understand the relationship between inflammation and food.
This first part is about Elderberry and Its Healing Capabilities.
The Powerful Plant
Although now popular in America, the elderberry (Sambucus canadensis and Sambucus Nigra) is native to Europe. Traditionally, its leaves and flowers have been used as home remedies, and also its berries, to flavor foods. The aged bark is also used in gastronomy or for winemaking.
The berries and flowers are most frequently used for medicinal purposes. This is because different investigations found that they possess flavonoids with abundant properties, among which antioxidant and immune system enhancing effects stand out.
Elderberry is grown mainly as an ornamental plant and for the use of its fruits in the production of jams, syrups and wines.
In orchards and crops, it is a plant widely used to provide faint shade and to repel pests of mice and moles. Infusions are prepared with the leaves to repel aphids and caterpillars by spraying it on the plants.
A Secret for Centuries
The documented medicinal use of elderberry dates back to the 6th century in Wales, however it is believed to have been used long before. In the 18th century, elderberry water was used as a skin whitening agent and to fade freckles, and in 1651 a treatise was published that lists up to 70 diseases that can be treated with recipes based on elderberry.
Inside the pages of this book, you will discover the secrets of this medicinal plant, with chapters that include:
The Health Benefits of ElderberryHow to Grow Elderberries at HomeHow to Collect, Prepare and Utilized the FruitsDifferent Plants like Elderberry That May Offer Benefits for Your HealthSome Easy Elderberry Recipes And much more...
This book is an easy-to-read guide into the wonders of an anti-inflammatory diet and how it can greatly benefit your immune system and overall health. You don't need to be an expert with plants of gastronomy, just the enthusiasm to discover and learn.
