The Adventures of Jackie and Jovie

Jackie (11) and Jovie (9) are half English, half Greek, their father being a descendant of the famous Bouritsas family, which played a prominent part in the Greek War of Independence. Jackie and Jovie live in London, but they will be spending ten days alone with their Aunt Tessie, who inherited the Bouritsas mansion on Hydra Island, Greece, where she lives. During their ten days on the island, they make the acquaintance of the cranky and very unfriendly family ghost, Uncle Frixos. They also get to know a local boy, Lefos, and her sister Sia. They quickly discover that Aunt Tessie may have to sell the Bouritsas mansion to pay off a significant tax debt and that Sia urgently needs a kidney transplant. The girls have two missions; to save the Bouritsas mansion and Sia's life. Will the girls manage to save Aunt Tessie's mansion? Will they find a way to pay for Sia's transplant? It all depends on whether they can persuade Uncle Frixos to help them find the Bouritsa's treasure.
