Beskrivelse af Tarzan The Terrible
Tarzan The Terrible is a thrilling adventure novel written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. This book is the eighth in the Tarzan series and was first published in 1921. The story takes place in the lost city of Opar, where Tarzan is drawn into a dangerous conflict between the high priestess of Opar and a group of invading Arabs. Tarzan, the king of the jungle, is summoned to Opar by La, the high priestess, who has fallen in love with him. But when Tarzan arrives, he discovers that La has been captured by a group of Arabs who have come to Opar to steal its treasure. Tarzan sets out to rescue La and stop the Arabs from taking the treasure. Along the way, Tarzan faces many challenges, including fierce battles with the Arabs and their mercenaries, treacherous terrain, and dangerous animals. He also encounters new friends and allies, including a tribe of apes and a British explorer named Albert Werper. As the story unfolds, Tarzan must use all his strength, intelligence, and courage to save La and prevent the Arabs from destroying the lost city of Opar. The novel is full of action, suspense, and adventure, and is sure to captivate readers of all ages. And consequent to this thought there enveloped him a blind frenzy of hatred for these creatures who dared thwart his purpose and menace the welfare of his wife. With a savage growl he threw himself upon the warrior before him twisting the heavy club from the creature's hand as if he had been a little child, and with his left fist backed by the weight and sinew of his giant frame, he crashed a shattering blow to the center of the Waz-don's face--.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
