Beskrivelse af Susan (1862)
Susan is a novel written by Frances Osborne and published in 1862. The story is set in England and revolves around the life of the titular character, Susan. She is a young woman who is orphaned at a young age and is forced to live with her uncle and aunt, who treat her cruelly. Despite the hardships she faces, Susan remains resilient and determined to make a better life for herself. As the story progresses, Susan meets and falls in love with a young man named Robert, who is the son of a wealthy family. However, their love is met with opposition from Robert's family, who do not approve of Susan's humble background. Despite this, Susan remains steadfast in her love for Robert and is eventually able to win over his family. The novel also explores themes of class and gender inequality, as well as the importance of perseverance and determination in the face of adversity. Overall, Susan is a heartwarming tale of love, perseverance, and triumph over hardship. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
