Striking Out ALS

I sent an email to W. P. Kinsella though I never really expected him to respond. It basically described the scope and vision of this project as well as thanking him for his wit and wisdom in Shoeless Joe. Kinsella replied in short time and form: "I'm very distrustful of anyone who claims to hear voices. It is the fiction writer's job to create weird characters, but I wouldn't want to know any of them in real life." -W. P. Kinsella Kinsella had just called me a real-life weird character. And I was thrilled.
