Hunter Oakley's best friend asked him to help start a K9 handler school, a task he probably should have thought through before agreeing. Being a beat cop in their hometown was no preparation for the commitment he was undertaking. Little did he know, the academy's opening day was going to have a rocky start when he accidentally bumps into a fiery brunette on his way to work... Avery Cunningham followed her best friend to Hero, Texas to take a job as head chef at her friend's B&B. She's been intrigued by small towns all her life, but she gets more than she bargained for when she arrives. The accident-prone chef has the bad habit of spilling coffee all over the meddlesome sidekick of her best friend's boyfriend-who looks painfully good in his blue uniform. But what's worse, he keeps managing to get under her skin at every turn, leading to a hilarious rivalry between the two opposites.
