The seventies are a hard time to pin down, because the people who grew up there were. They were a hard-ass, fingers up at the establishment group of kids who were smart, screwed over, and fed up. Never before or after this generation has there been such an exciting take on everything from movies to fashion to cars. The seventies were about pushing boundaries, kicking ass, and taking names. From sixty 9 to eighty is the story of a generation lost between the hippies and the punks: kids born beside guitar cases and raised in cars that went fast, but had no seatbelts.
