Beskrivelse af Sheppard Lee V1
Sheppard Lee V1 is a novel written by Robert Montgomery Bird. The story follows the life of Sheppard Lee, a man who has the ability to transfer his consciousness into the bodies of other people. Through his adventures in various bodies, Lee experiences different lifestyles, professions, and social classes. However, as he explores these different lives, Lee begins to realize that his own identity is becoming lost in the process. The novel is a commentary on the American Dream and the pursuit of happiness, as well as a critique of the social and economic systems that create inequality. Sheppard Lee V1 is a thought-provoking and engaging read that explores themes of identity, class, and the human experience. Thus, in a few years, there remained but two of all the eleven children, --to wit, my oldest sister Prudence and myself. My mother (from whom I had my Christian name Sheppard, that being her maiden name) died several years before this last catastrophe, her mind having been affected, and indeed distracted, by so many mournful losses occurring in such rapid succession. She fell into a deep melancholy, and died insane. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
